The "SX254" crank and connecting rod are manufactured from 20CrMo steel. The "SX254" crank and connecting rod are designed for racing and will withstand the rigours of flat out, high rpm operation. The "SX254" crank has the same internal dimensions as the Zenoah and utilises the same bearings (6001 series). However, the “SX254” crank is a 4 bearing crank. This is less prone to flexing under racing conditions and makes the engine more durable and less prone to failure. The "SX254" needle bearing size is bigger than the Zenoah. A greater bearing surface contact area makes the connecting rod assembly stronger and enables the “SX254” engine to rev to 19,000rpm. |
